LE CHEF (AKA ELIJAH NDOUMBE) is a selector that mixes to move – from funk, disco, and RnB, to jazzy riffs, classic house sounds, Detroit techno, and beyond, LE CHEF is focused on creating frequencies of rhythm for release.
They’ve played at SoHo Haus in Berlin, NoSe Dance Party (Oakland), Waiting Room (Cape Town), The Grand Africa, and Roots & Fruits (CPT); opened for artists such as Dope Saint Jude (Boiler Room) and Abdu Ali (Stanford), and have featured on the BBZ London radio show, Fritto FM (Milan, IT), Superbalist Monday Mixtape, Whisperscream Radio, A11 Radio lives- tream (South Africa), Ola Radio (Marseille, FR), and Fluid radio via DUBLAB (Los Angeles).
In between mixing live (recently Oakland, Paris, Malta), Ndoumbe can be found cooking in Marseille wine bars, deepening familial food research in Douala, and building transatlantic collaborations via their lens-based arts practice(s).
